"What part of 'love and peace' do you not understand?"

Films: Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992), Godzilla vs. Spacegodzilla (1994), Rebirth of Mothra (1996)

Alias: Mosura

Type: Mystical

Location: Cave/Civilized Area/Forest/Ocean

Height/Weight: 65 meters and 20,000 metric tons.

Affiliation: Good

Summary: So, Ghidorah wasn't the best option for a returning monster. But how about someone way more benevolent? Yup, that's right. Mothra's back in town...along with that crazy brother of hers no one knew about.

History: Long ago, before the majority of Mothras were destroyed by the ancestors of King Ghidorah, Mothra and her kind guarded the Elias, a bunch of really tiny folk that the Shobijin come from. Unfortunately, the Elias' abuse of the world forced Mothra to come to blows with her new brother, Battra, and leave for Infant Island when things settled. Now, her most recent reincarnated egg has been found, all while Battra threatens to reawaken alongside Godzilla...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Mothra manages to convince Battra to help her beat Godzilla before she parts for the stars to intercept a meteor destined to hit Earth in 1999...only to spread Godzilla's cells accidentally and give rise to Spacegodzilla, which she at least warned us about. Then she succumbed to her age and wounds after a battle with the dreaded Desghidorah, leaving her son, Mothra Leo, to take up the mantle.

Powers/Abilities: Larva Mothra shoots silk, while her adult form can fire antennae beams, shoot arc lighting from her wings, and release reflective scales.

Weakness: Beings of equal or greater power.

Scariness Factor: 2-All of the damage Mothra does to anything related to us is purely accidental. She is an esteemed protector of all living things. Also, this might be the fluffiest version of her yet.

Trivia: -Originally, Mothra was set to die at the end of her fight with Godzilla, only for her body to be used to make the dragonfly-like MechaMothra. Let that image simmer...

-Yes, we are aware that the "Rebirth of Mothra" series isn't considered canon to Godzilla's franchise. But you know what? There are one too many similarities to it, and as far as we're concerned, it all takes place when Godzilla isn't around anymore.

"Geez, Mothra. How many kids do you need?!"

Trust me. He won't forget this.

Mothra's back to get replaced by her son...huzzah?
Not since Action Park, folks.

Quit spoiling the main attraction!

May the world shine with your light once more!

"Did you get fluffier between movies?"

Be thankful she's so maternal. She can't do everything, you know!

One small flap for moth...

This death was more dignified, at least.
